Job Description – PGT Geography Teacher

Qualification:
M.A./M.Sc. in Geography
B.Ed. mandatory (preferred for CBSE/ICSE schools)

Experience:
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at senior secondary level

Responsibilities:
Teach Geography to Classes 11 & 12 as per CBSE/ICSE curriculum
Cover Physical Geography, Human Geography, Cartography & Practical Geography
Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, maps, and project guidelines
Conduct map-work sessions and practical evaluations
Assess and evaluate student performance regularly
Guide students for board exams and improve answer-writing skills
Maintain classroom discipline and create an interactive learning workplace
Participate in PTMs, staff meetings, field trips & school events
Stay updated with curriculum changes and modern teaching techniques

Skills Required:
Robust subject knowledge in Physical & Human Geography
Ability to teach map-reading, atlas skills & practical geography
Positive communication and classroom management skills
Familiarity with digital teaching tools and smart classroom setup (preferred)
