Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly competent Geotechnical Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering for hydropower and pumped storage projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for geotechnical investigations, engineering analyses, and design of foundations, underground structures, slopes, and associated civil works. The role involves supporting projects from feasibility studies through detailed engineering, construction,



and commissioning while ensuring compliance with applicable national and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, supervise, and review geotechnical site investigations, including boreholes, geophysical surveys, in-situ testing, and laboratory testing.
Interpret geological, hydrogeological, and geotechnical data for engineering design.
Carry out geotechnical analysis and design for:
Dam and barrage foundations
Intake and outlet structures
Headrace and tailrace tunnels
Surge shafts and pressure shafts
Underground powerhouses and transformer caverns
Penstock foundations and anchor blocks
Switchyards and project infrastructure
Pumped storage upper and lower reservoirs
Perform foundation assessments, bearing capacity analysis, settlement analysis, seepage analysis, and slope stability evaluations.
Assess rock mass characteristics using RMR, Q-System, GSI, and other recognized rock classificati
