We are hiring a Legal Counsel for a leading global commodity trading organisation. While

the company operates across multiple international markets, the selected candidate will be based in Mumbai and will play a key role in supporting the company's legal function in India.This is an excellent prospect for experienced litigation lawyers to work on high-value commercial disputes, regulatory matters, cross-border legal issues, and strategic legal advisory while working closely with the Head – Legal.

Key Responsibilities
Manage the company's litigation portfolio across commercial, civil, regulatory, criminal, and arbitration matters.
Coordinate with external counsel and oversee litigation strategy, filings, hearings, and dispute resolution.
Advise internal stakeholders on litigation risks and regulatory matters.
Handle legal notices, settlement discussions, and pre-litigation advisory.
Review pleadings, legal documentation, and regulatory communications.
Support the business on commercial contracts and transactional documentation, wherever required.




Work closely with business, compliance, finance, and other internal stakeholders to mitigate legal risks.

Candidate Profile
LL.B. from a recognised university.
8–10 years of post-qualification experience with a strong litigation background.
Experience in commercial litigation, arbitration, or regulatory disputes.
Exposure to drafting, reviewing, or negotiating commercial contracts will be an added advantage.
Solid drafting, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to independently manage complex legal matters in a fast-paced business workplace.

Drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts.
Exposure to matters involving commodity trading, energy, shipping, logistics, trade finance, or cross-border commercial transactions will be an added advantage.
