MarkupMarvel is hiring a Senior Sales Manager to lead new business development for our US/UK client base. You'll own the full sales cycle — from qualifying inbound leads to closing project agreements — for a team that builds headless WordPress, Next.js, Laravel, and Shopify platforms for serious businesses and agency partners.
This is a role for someone who understands technical services sales and can speak credibly to CTOs, marketing directors, and agency owners about web development projects — not someone selling a commodity product off a script.
What You'll Do
- Qualify and manage inbound leads from our website, Upwork, and referral network
- Run discovery calls to understand a prospect's technical and business requirements
- Translate technical scope (headless CMS, API integrations, Next.js migrations) into explicit proposals a non-technical buyer can approve
- Own pricing conversations and negotiate project agreements
- Maintain accurate pipeline records in our CRM
- Work closely with our development team to ensure sold scope matches delivery capacity
- Build long-term relationships with agency partners for repeat white-label work
Requirement
- 3+ years of experience in B2B sales, ideally in web development,
digital agency, or SaaS
- Proven track record of closing deals with US or UK clients
- Comfortable discussing technical concepts like headless CMS, Next.js, and API integrations at a business level
- Strong written and verbal communication in English
- Experience managing a sales pipeline in a CRM (HubSpot, Pipedrive, or similar)
- Self-motivated — able to work independently in a remote, distributed team
- Based in a compatible timezone for US/UK client calls
Nice to Have
- Prior experience selling for a web development or digital agency specifically
- Familiarity with Upwork or freelance marketplace sales processes
- Experience selling white-label services to other agencies
