Job Description

-

Relevant should be min 6–8 years of experience in SAP Data Migration, with solid hands-on expertise in SAP ABAP and LSMW.

-

Mandatory: Proven expertise in LSMW with hands-on experience in at least 2 end-to-end SAP data migration projects.

-

Strong experience in data migration from SAP/Non-SAP legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA On-Premise across full lifecycle implementation projects.

-

Strong SAP ABAP development experience is essential, particularly in the context of data extraction, transformation, validation, migration programs, and LSMW.

-

Hands-on experience with S/4HANA Migration Cockpit, LTMC, and LTMOM is preferred.

-

Good understanding of ETL concepts, data extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, and loading for SAP data migration.

-

Experience in migrating both Master Data and Transactional Data across different SAP process areas such as O2C, S2P, M2S, B2P, etc.

-

Strong understanding of different legacy systems and source-to-target data structures.

-

Experience in data mapping, transformation rules, data validation, reconciliation, and migration error handling.

-

Ability to author migration technical specifications, develop migration solutions, and design reconciliation/reporting mechanisms.

-

Strong understanding of end-to-end SAP business process flows and dependencies between master and transactional data.

Ability to work closely with functional consultants, business teams, and technical teams to define and implement effective migration solutions.

Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Strong understanding of SAP architecture, data structures, and migration methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

-

Design and develop technical migration solutions for SAP S/4HANA data migration projects.

-

Develop data migration strategies and programs for the conversion of Master and Transactional Data from SAP and non-SAP legacy systems into S/4HANA.

-

Develop and execute LSMW-based migration solutions for relevant data objects.

-

Utilize SAP ABAP for developing extraction programs, transformation logic, validation programs, migration utilities, and supporting reports.

-

Analyze legacy data and define source-to-target mapping, transformation rules, validation criteria, and extraction logic in collaboration with business and functional teams.

-

Perform detailed data mapping and data conversion analysis between source and target datasets.

-

Identify and document data migration requirements, conversion rules, dependencies, and technical specifications.

-





Work with functional teams to understand end-to-end process flows and data-object dependencies.

-

Perform data cleansing, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and error analysis during migration cycles.

-

Support migration mock runs, testing, defect resolution, cutover activities, and post-migration validation.

-

Identify migration-related issues, analyze root causes, recommend solutions, and ensure timely resolution.

-

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of migration objects across different SAP workstreams/modules.

-

Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to migration programs, mapping, transformation rules, reconciliation, and migration execution.

-

Contribute to migration strategy, technical design, estimation, planning, and execution throughout the project lifecycle.
