ABOUT THE ROLE

PPC Guru is hiring a hands-on short-form video editor to create high-retention videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, talking-head content, UGC-style creatives, and paid social advertising.

This is primarily an editing role. We are not looking for a social media manager, videographer, prompt-only AI creator, or long-form-only editor.

WHAT YOU WILL CREATE

• Talking-head videos with strong hooks, pacing, captions, B-roll, pattern interrupts, and sound design
• Instagram Reels, TikTok videos, and YouTube Shorts
• Paid Meta and social advertising creatives
• UGC-style, testimonial, educational, and promotional videos
• Voiceover-led videos using supplied footage, licensed stock, or approved AI-generated assets
• Multiple hook and creative variations from the same brief

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Turn raw footage, scripts, voiceovers, and briefs into polished 15–60 second vertical videos
• Build compelling first 1–3 seconds and maintain attention throughout the edit
• Add accurate captions,



motion graphics, transitions, music, sound effects, audio cleanup, and colour correction
• Create alternate hooks, calls to action, and ad variations for testing
• Follow brand guidelines and feedback precisely
• Keep project files, footage, graphics, and assets clearly organized
• Deliver consistently within agreed deadlines and communicate progress clearly

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 3 years of skilled video-editing experience
• A strong portfolio showing recent short-form work—not only a general showreel
• Proven experience editing talking-head videos, Reels/Shorts, and paid-social or UGC-style ads
• Strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or an equivalent professional editor
• Ability to create clean captions, basic motion graphics, polished audio, and platform-ready exports
• Strong written English and reliable remote-team communication
