We at Coforge are seeking Java Engineering Lead with the following skill set:
Key Responsibilities
Minimum 10+ years experience building large-scale backend systems. End-to-end ownership of microservices from design to production.
Cloud-Native Architecture & Modernization Lead migration from monolith/EC2 to scalable AWS EKS microservices.
Define cloud-native patterns: service mesh, autoscaling (HPA/VPA), 12-factor principles.
Implement Kubernetes best practices: advanced probes, externalized configs, graceful shutdowns, and rolling updates.
Contemporary Java Engineering Build high-performance REST services using Spring Boot 2.x/3.x. Drive Java upgrades (8/17/21), resolving module system and compatibility issues.
Optimize performance using Streams, CompletableFuture, and container-aware JVM tuning.
DevOps, EKS & Platform Engineering Partner with DevOps on CI/CD, IaC, and container-first workflows.
Optimize container images and resource configs.
Implement observability: Prometheus/Grafana, CloudWatch, centralized logs, distributed tracing.
Production Excellence & Operational Ownership Lead P1/P2 incident troubleshooting and RCA.
Implement resilience patterns: circuit breakers, retries, bulkheads, fallbacks, idempotency.
Improve reliability using chaos testing, fault injection, and reliability scorecards.
Strong proficiency in Java 8+ (incl. Java 11/17/21).
Deep knowledge of Streams, concurrency, memory models, JVM tuning, and GC behavior.
Microservices & Frameworks Advanced Spring Boot 2.x/3.x expertise (Data, Security, Actuator).
Experience with REST, event-driven systems, and Kafka/RabbitMQ.
Cloud-Native & AWS Hands-on AWS EKS deployment and optimization.
Solid AWS experience: EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, ECR, ALB/NLB.
Strong Docker/OCI containerization skills. Resilience, Observability & Performance Experience
