Key ResponsibilitiesAutomotive Interior Systems Design
Design and develop automotive interior components including:
- Door Trim Systems
- Door Panels
- Armrests
- Hard Panels
- Map Pockets
- Instrument Panels & Cockpit Systems
- CoreBack Instrument Panels
- Seamless Airbag Integrated IP Systems
- Monomaterial Interior Components
- Cockpit Assemblies
- Overhead Console Systems
- Floor Console Systems
EV & Lightweight Engineering Components
Design and develop EV-focused and lightweight structures including:
- Thermal Insulation Components
- Electrical Insulation Components
- FiberFrame Structures
- CoreBack Technologies
- Hybrid Molding Components
- Composite and Lightweight Plastic Parts
CAD & Engineering Activities
- Create Class-A/Class-B/Class-C surfaces and production-ready 3D models.
- Develop complex assemblies, packaging layouts,
and engineering drawings.
- Perform design validation considering manufacturing, tooling, assembly, and service requirements.
- Support engineering change management and design optimization activities.
- Collaborate with PLM/PDM teams for product data management using Teamcenter.
- Utilize PolyWorks for:
- Inspection data analysis
- Geometry validation
- Reverse engineering support
- Dimensional quality assessment
- Deviation analysis and reporting
- Participate in customer technical reviews and project discussions.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including CAE, tooling, manufacturing, quality, and program management teams.
Required QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field.
Experience
- 3 to 8 years of experience in Automotive Product Design and Development.
- Proven experience in automotive interior trim an
