Design Engineer - Crane Manufacturing

Job Summary
A Design Engineer in crane manufacturing is responsible for designing, analyzing, and developing crane systems and components such as EOT cranes, gantry cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment. The role ensures designs are safe, cost-effective, and compliant with standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Design EOT cranes, gantry cranes, jib cranes, and hoists
- Prepare GA (General Arrangement) and detailed fabrication drawings
- Design structural components like girders, end carriages, and trolley systems
- Perform load calculations, stress analysis, and deflection checks
- Ensure proper selection of motors, gearboxes, brakes, and wire ropes
- Validate designs based on duty class and load conditions
- Use AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo for 2D/3D design
- Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials)
- Use Excel or engineering tools for calculations
- Ensure compliance with standards like IS, FEM, DIN, ISO
- Follow safety regulations and design codes
- Maintain proper documentation for approvals
- Work with production, QC,



and purchase departments
- Coordinate with clients for design approvals and modifications
- Support project execution team
- Provide technical support during fabrication and assembly
- Resolve design-related issues on shop floor
- Suggest design improvements for cost and efficiencyRequired Skills:
- Solid knowledge of mechanical design & structural analysis
- Understanding of crane components and lifting mechanisms
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
- Knowledge of engineering standards (IS, FEM, DIN)
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Qualifications:
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Diploma holders with strong experience may also apply
- Experience:
- 1-5 years in crane / heavy equipment / fabrication industry

Pay: ₹11,194.07 - ₹25,000.00 per month
