Job SummaryThe PLC Programmer develops and implements optimized process control solutions using PLCs, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. The role requires a solid blend of electrical layout knowledge, software logic, mechanical intuition, and on-site physical commissioning to ensure automated machinery runs safely and with mínimal downtime. Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Program Development: Write clear, structured logic code using industrial standard languages to control machinery sequences.
- HMI/SCADA Design: Create user-friendly graphical interfaces for machine operators to monitor real-time data, control parameters, and track system diagnostics.
- System Integration: Connect and network PLCs with peripheral hardware components like Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), servo motors, sensors, and actuators.
- Schematic Interpretation: Read, analyze, and draft electrical circuit drawings, blueprint schematics, and P&ID; diagrams to install or rewire systems safely.
- Commissioning & Testing:



Conduct extensive pre-installation simulation testing and travel to factory floors for hands-on, on-site physical machinery start-ups.
- Fault Diagnostics: Troubleshoot operational breakdowns, fix runtime code errors, and provide preventive maintenance updates to reduce expensive assembly line stops. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Required Skills and QualificationsTechnical Hard Skills
