ob Title: Project Planning Engineer - Refractory Application

Reports to: Project Manager
Role Overview:
*Key Responsibilities:
*1. Project Planning & Scheduling*
- Prepare detailed project schedules using ERP / Excel tools.
- Develop manpower, material, and equipment deployment plans.
- Break down scope of work into activities, allocate durations, and identify critical path.
- Monitor daily/weekly progress and update project schedules accordingly.
- Plan shutdown/relining activities with accurate sequencing to minimize downtime.

*2. Coordination & Resource Management*
- Coordinate between procurement, stores, site execution, and project management teams.
- Track material requirements and ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare daily/weekly manpower allocation sheets in consultation with site supervisors.
- Highlight bottlenecks and suggest corrective actions to senior management.

*3. Reporting & Documentation*
- Prepare project dashboards, progress reports, and MIS for management review.




- Document site activities, consumption reports, and productivity analysis.
- Assist in preparing method statements, job procedures, and quality checklists.
- Maintain records of client communications, approvals, and site instructions.

*4. Cost & Performance Monitoring*
- Track project costs against budgets (manpower, material, and equipment).
- Monitor productivity KPIs
- Report variances in cost/time and recommend recovery measures.

*5. Safety & Quality Support*
- Assist in implementing safety procedures and ensuring work permits compliance.
- Support QA/QC engineers in inspections and documentation.
- Ensure planned curing, drying, and heat-up schedules are adhered to.

*Qualifications & Skills:*

*Education:*
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical / Ceramic / Metallurgy / Production Engineering.

*Experience:*
- Exposure to steel plants, cement plants, refineries, or boiler/furnace/kiln proje
