Roles and Responsibilities of a Pre-Primary Teacher1. Academic & Learning Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans based on play-way and activity-based learning.
- Teach basic concepts such as alphabets, numbers, colors, shapes, and rhymes.
- Develop early language, motor, cognitive, and social skills.
- Use storytelling, songs, games, and creative activities to make learning engaging.
- Focus on overall development rather than only academics.

2. Classroom Management
- Create a safe, caring, and child-friendly classroom setting.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and proper arrangement of classroom materials.
- Manage young children with patience, love, and understanding.
- Establish daily routines and discipline in a gentle manner.

3. Activity Planning
- Organize fun and educational activities like:
- Art and craft
- Rhymes and dance
- Storytelling
- Indoor and outdoor games
- Encourage creativity, imagination, and participation.

4. Student Care & Development
- Monitor each child’s physical,



emotional, and social development.
- Identify slow learners or children needing special attention.
- Support development of communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ensure children’s safety and well-being at all times.

5. Assessment & Record Keeping
- Observe and assess children’s progress regularly.
- Maintain records such as observation notes, portfolios, and report cards.
- Provide feedback to parents on child development.

6. Parent Communication
- Interact with parents regularly regarding child’s progress and behavior.
- Conduct parent-teacher meetings (PTMs).
- Guide parents on supporting learning at home.

7. Professional Responsibilities
- Attend staff meetings, workshops, and training programs.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff.
- Follow school policies and curriculum guidelines.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
