Job Summary

The Hospital Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications, ensuring protected and effective drug therapy, maintaining inventory control, and providing clinical support to healthcare professionals and patients within the hospital.

Key Responsibilities1. Medication Management
- Review and interpret physician prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Dispense medications accurately in accordance with hospital policies.
- Ensure correct dosage, route, frequency, and drug interactions.
- Monitor high-alert and controlled medications.

2. Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide drug information to doctors, nurses, and patients.
- Monitor adverse drug reactions (ADR) and report accordingly.
- Participate in ward rounds (if required).
- Ensure rational use of antibiotics and other critical medications.

3. Inventory & Stock Control
- Maintain adequate stock levels of medicines and consumables.
- Monitor expiry dates and remove near-expiry/expired stock.
- Coordinate with suppliers for procurement.




- Maintain cold chain for temperature-sensitive medications.

4. Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and hospital policies.
- Maintain narcotic and controlled drug registers.
- Support audits (NABH / JCI / internal audits).

5. Documentation
- Maintain proper dispensing records.
- Update daily consumption and stock registers.
- Assist in preparing pharmacy-related reports.

6. Patient Counseling
- Explain dosage, administration, side effects, and storage.
- Educate patients on medication adherence.

Pay: Up to ₹25,000.00 per month
