Job Title: Senior Staff Nurse / Nursing Incharge - NICU
Department: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:Clinical Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill and premature newborns in NICU
- Monitor vital signs, oxygen therapy, ventilator support, and neonatal equipment
- Assist doctors during procedures and emergency interventions
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient records, medication, and nursing notes
- Follow infection control protocols, hand hygiene, and aseptic techniques
Supervisory & Administrative Responsibilities:
- Supervise and guide NICU nursing staff and junior nurses
- Allocate duties and manage shift planning and manpower
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, NABH standards, and clinical protocols
- Conduct training sessions and skill development for nursing staff
- Maintain stock, equipment readiness, and coordination with biomedical team
Patient & Family Care:
- Provide counseling and emotional support to parents/attendants
- Educate families regarding newborn care, feeding, and hygiene
- Ensure patient safety and high standards of care at all times
Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and quality indicators
- Participate in audits, documentation checks, and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain confidentiality of patient data and hospital information
