Responsibility
Patient Assessment:Assist in evaluating patients’ needs by conducting physical examinations and reviewing medical histories. Interviewing and assessing patients to identify unique needs and briefing on treatment plans
- Device Design and Fabrication:Help design and fabricate prosthetic and orthotic solutions, ensuring they meet the specific needs of each patient. Designing and fabricating orthotic devices based on patients measurements and physician prescriptions
- Fitting and Adjustment:Aid in fitting and adjusting devices,
ensuring comfort, functionality, and proper alignment. Measuring or taking impressions of a patient’s feet to design a footwear and or insoles
- Patient Education:Educate patients on the use, care, and maintenance of their prosthetic or orthotic solutions. Providing patients with device use and maintenance instructions
- Follow-Up Care:Provide follow-up care and make necessary adjustments to devices based on patient feedback and changing needs. Providing ongoing care and repairing or adjusting devices as treatments progress
- Record Keeping:Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including assessment results, treatment plans, and follow-up notes.
- Continuing Education:Stay updated on the latest advancements in prosthetics and orthotics through continuous education and training. Provide insights and inputs on how to improve operational processes.
