Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or higher with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Monitor daily batch schedules, manage job submissions, and resolve failures (abends) to ensure timely completion.
- Analyze and resolve production incidents, perform data fixes, restart jobs, and handle online transaction issues.
- Investigate underlying causes of recurring incidents to implement permanent solutions and prevent future failures.
- Perform health checks, manage NDM (Network Data Mover) file transfers, and support code deployment.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Must-Have Skills:
- 4+ years of experience as a Developer and Support qualified
- Mainframe technologies: JCL, COBOL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, Endevor.
- Scheduling tools: OPC/IWS, Control-M, or CA7.
- Incident Management tools: ServiceNow, Jira.
- Manage incidents and problems effectively
- Identify root causes and implement permanent solutions
- Willingness to work in shifts and on weekends
- Experience in Healthcare Insurance is an added advantage
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Knowledge of AWS or Azure (e.g., AWS Mainframe Modernization) as companies move toward hybrid environments.
