Job Purpose

The Estate Officer is responsible for the overall management, maintenance, safety, and development of the University’s land, buildings, infrastructure, and allied services, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained campus workplace in compliance with statutory and institutional norms.

Key Responsibilities

1. Estate & Infrastructure Management
- Oversee maintenance and upkeep of academic buildings, hostels, staff quarters, administrative blocks, roads, gardens, and utilities.
- Ensure regular inspection and preventive maintenance of civil, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and firefighting systems.
- Plan and execute minor civil works, renovations, and repairs.

2. Housekeeping & Sanitation
- Supervise housekeeping services across the campus to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and waste management.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Implement cleanliness drives and best practices as per university standards.

3. Security & Safety
- Supervise campus security operations including deployment, access control,



visitor management, and surveillance systems.
- Ensure safety compliance, emergency preparedness, fire safety measures, and disaster management protocols.
- Coordinate with local authorities during emergencies.

4. Contract & Vendor Management
- Manage outsourced contracts related to housekeeping, security, gardening, maintenance, and other estate services.
- Verify bills, maintain records, and ensure timely renewal of contracts.
- Ensure adherence to statutory norms, labor laws, and university policies.

5. Asset & Property Management
- Maintain updated records of land, buildings, equipment, and movable/immovable assets.
- Prevent encroachment and unauthorized use of university property.
- Assist in land-related documentation, surveys, and legal matters.

6. Compliance & Statutory Requirements
- Ensure compliance with local municipal regulations, environmental norms, fire safety, and building codes.
