POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION:
Sort, separate, and clean up scrap metal. Run the bailing and shearing machines as needed. Weigh small scrap metal orders as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Constant standing
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Ability to meet the physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation, as provided in detail in the Job Analysis Database
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Ability to work well with other employees
Ability to follow instructions
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with different types of scrap metal
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Sort, separate, and clean up scrap metal in the yard
Run the bailing and shearing machines using metal and cardboard
Weigh small scrap orders for customers
Ensure a secure work environment and contribute to a highly engaging culture that fosters safety, continuous improvement, teamwork, and trust
