About The Role

We currently have an opening in the team for a full-time Aquarist/Diver.

Duties

What will you be doing on the daily? Besides having a fish-tastic time? Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

Performing various tasks across the aquarium - daily husbandry, management, and welfare of the animal collection
Developing, cleaning and maintaining excellent and innovative animal displays that deliver an exceptional visitor experience
Food preparation and feeding of aquatic and terrestrial animals, ensuring we are providing optimal diet and enrichment
Monitoring the collection for any sign of disease, maintaining exceptional levels of animal care and welfare
Managing water quality,



testing and adjusting parameters to ensure optimal conditions
Operating and maintaining a variety of life support systems
Regular diving in displays
Assisting in the implementation and development of new display opportunities

Please note – The role does require regular weekend work, incl across peak periods being school and public holiday periods
