Mission of the Role

To perform accurate and timely chemical testing of textile materials while following laboratory procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements. The mission is to maintain reliable test results, ensure proper documentation, support quality control activities, and continuously develop technical knowledge to meet customer and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Sample Testing: Perform chemical analysis and testing of raw materials, finished products, and other samples as per prescribed procedures.
Laboratory Operations: Handle laboratory instruments, glassware, chemicals, and equipment safely and efficiently.
Test Results & Documentation: Accurately record test observations and results, maintain laboratory records, and prepare test reports.
Quality Control: Ensure testing is carried out according to company procedures and applicable ISO/ASTM/AATCC/BIS standards.
Equipment Maintenance:



Perform routine checks and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment and immediately report any malfunction.
Chemical Handling & Safety: Follow laboratory safety procedures, chemical handling guidelines, PPE requirements, and proper waste-disposal practices.
Calibration & Standardization: Assist in calibration, standardization, and verification of laboratory instruments and solutions.
Team Coordination: Coordinate with senior chemists, lab technicians, and quality teams to complete testing activities within timelines.

Qualifications, Experience and Technical Skills

B.Sc M.Sc in Chemistry
Key Skills
Good understanding of basic Chemistry and laboratory techniques
Knowledge of chemical testing and analysis
Good observation and analytical skills
Basic computer and documentation skills
Willingness to learn laboratory procedures and standards
Valuable communication and teamwork skills
