Role description
Working closely with Software Engineers, AI/ML Engineers, Data Teams, and Security stakeholders, you will help transform development workflows into production-ready automated solutions while ensuring enterprise standards for security, availability, performance, compliance, and cost optimization.
This is a contract role within a distributed Agile workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available, secure, and scalable AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as:
- Terraform
- AWS CDK
- CloudFormation
- Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using:
- GitHub Actions
- Jenkins
- GitLab CI/CD
- Azure DevOps (or similar)
- Docker
- Amazon ECS
- Amazon EKS
- Kubernetes
- Implement observability solutions using:
- Amazon CloudWatch
- Prometheus
- Grafana
- ELK / OpenSearch
- Automate platform operations and cloud resource lifecycle management.
- Improve deployment reliability, release automation, and platform performance.
- Implement enterprise security best practices including:
- IAM
- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Secrets Management
- Encryption
- Security Monitoring
- Support AI/ML platform deployments, APIs, data pipelines, and model-serving infrastructure.
- Optimize cloud costs through:
- Resource monitoring
- Capacity planning
- Tagging strategy
- FinOps practices
- Participate in:
- Incident response
- Root cause analysis
- Disaster recovery planning
- Platform resiliency improvements
- Maintain technical documentation and promote DevOps best practices across engineering teams.
