DESCRIPTION:
The Role:
Amazon Design Technologies is a multi-disciplinary team that provides design software, systems platforms and design processes to our Product Development, New Technology, Operations, Retail, Footwear, Apparel and Manufacturing teams. We are looking for an experienced Systems Development Engineer who enjoys solving problems and have a strong technical background in Systems Engineering and Software Development.

Key job responsibilities
As a Systems Development Engineer in Design Technologies team, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and supporting the systems that Amazon's research, development, and design teams rely on to build the next generation of Amazon digital devices. You will coordinate with researchers and engineers to build and support the infrastructure they need. You will work with vendors to evaluate, purchase, deploy, and support mission-critical tools. You will customize and integrate third-party software to meet Amazon's needs.



You will improve existing infrastructure to ensure it continues to meet Amazon's high bar for operational excellence
- BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 6+ years of systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement experience
- 6+ years of development/programming/scripting language (Python/Java/Bash/Perl) experience
- 6+ years of deploying and operating in a Linux/Unix workplace experience
- 4+ years of systems development in an IT or data center environment experience
- Experience leading the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering
- Experience leading the design, build and deployment of complex and performant (reliable and scalable) software solutions in production
- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
- 1 or more years of demonstrated experience using AI/Gen AI tools to build intelligent softw
