Read and interpret structural drawings, blueprints, and fabrication sketches.
- Measure, mark, cut, and fit steel plates, beams, channels, angles, and pipes according to specifications.
- Align and assemble steel structures before welding or bolting.
- Use hand tools, power tools, grinders, cutting torches, and measuring instruments.
- Check dimensions and ensure proper fit-up of components.
- Assist welders during fabrication and erection activities.
- Inspect finished work for accuracy and quality compliance.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and use required PPE.
- Coordinate with supervisors, welders, riggers, and crane operators during installation.
