Key Responsibilities
- Inventory & Material Management: Receive, inspect, and store construction materials (cement, steel, finishing items) efficiently.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate inventory records (logbooks, stock registers) and generate daily/weekly/monthly reports on stock levels and consumption.
- Issuance & Logistics: Issue materials to subcontractors or site personnel based on authorized requisitions.
- Procurement Support: Coordinate with procurement teams regarding material shortages, damages, and replenishment needs.
- Site Safety & Maintenance: Ensure the storage area is organized, clean, and secure. Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for hazardous items.
- Physical Verification: Conduct regular,
mandatory physical stock verification to reconcile with system stock.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 8 years in inventory/store management, preferably within construction or infrastructure projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for inventory tracking.
- Material Knowledge: Sound knowledge of construction materials (aggregates, civil materials, electrical/sanitary fittings).
- Education: Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant experience.
- Competencies: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work on-site.
