Job description:
A Freight Agent is a sales-focused logistics qualified who connects shippers with carriers to move freight efficiently. They typically work under a brokerage and earn commission by managing shipments and building a book of business.
Key Responsibilities
- Source new shipping clients (freight sales)
- Find and onboard reliable carriers
- Negotiate freight rates with shippers and carriers
- Book loads and manage dispatch from pickup to delivery
- Track shipments and handle delays/issues
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and carriers
- Use load boards (DAT)
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong sales and negotiation skills:
- Experience in logistics / supply chain (preferred)
- Ability to handle pressure and solve problems quickly
- Good communication and relationship-building ability
Pay: ₹20,985.36 - ₹30,757.29 per month
