STEM Educator (Hands-on Engineering & Maker Space)

Employment: Full-time | Part-time | 6-month Internships (For Freshers)

Are you passionate about Applied Sciences, Mechanics, and Engineering? Do you love taking things apart to see how they work and building DIY projects from scratch? Join TheWorkshop, a STEM-accredited program, to deliver high-energy, hands-on engineering challenges for students aged 5-16 years.

We aren't looking for lecturers; we are looking for Makers who can bring Science and Maths to life through physical prototypes.

Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct immersive sessions in Applied Sciences, Structural Engineering, and Hands-on Mechanics.
- Develop interactive projects using Maker Space tools, straightforward machines, and everyday materials to demonstrate complex physics.
- Guide students through the "Design-Build-Test-Debug" cycle of engineering.
- Lead interdisciplinary challenges (e.g., bridge building, aerodynamics, acoustic engineering, and kinetic art).
- Maintain a safe,



high-energy environment that fosters curiosity and grit.

Qualifications

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science (Physics/Maths) or Engineering (Mechanical/Civil/Electrical) — mandatory.
- Freshers or final-year students with a strong portfolio of "DIY/College Projects" are welcome.

Skills:
- Technical Tinkering: Experience with hand tools, building mechanical linkages, and understanding physical laws (Torque, Friction, Aerodynamics, etc.).
- Conceptual Clarity: Excellent communication skills — able to explain complex Scientific/Maths concepts through physical examples.
- Maker Spirit: Passion for DIY, crafts, and "Learning by Doing."
- Soft Skills: High energy, patience, and a genuine love for mentoring children.
- Basic Tools: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT).

Bonus: Experience in science fairs, DIY hobbyist groups, aeromodelling, or carpentry/mechanics workshops.
