Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets.
- Analyze market trends, consumer data, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
- Manage the product assortment and lifecycle for the assigned category, including new product launches and the discontinuation of underperforming items.
- Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, pricing, and promotional support.
- Oversee pricing strategies and promotional plans to optimize profitability and maintain a competitive market position.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, supply chain, and product teams to enhance product visibility, improve customer experience, and ensure seamless execution of plans.
- Prepare and present regular category performance reports to senior management.
- Ensure accurate and compelling product content, including listings, descriptions, and images, to improve conversion rates.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in the E-commerce industry preferably E-commerce startups, merchandising, or a similar role within an e-commerce or retail environment.
- Proven track record of driving sales and profitability within a product category.
- Expertise in working with e-commerce platforms.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and make informed, data-driven decisions.
- Experience with vendor management and building collaborative business relationships.
