A Dance Teacher in a CBSE-affiliated school is responsible for teaching various dance forms to students across primary, middle, and senior classes. The role focuses on developing students’ creativity, coordination, rhythm, and confidence, while preparing them for performances, competitions, and cultural events.

Key Responsibilities:
Teach different dance forms (Classical, Folk, or Contemporary) as per school curriculum

Plan and conduct regular dance classes using structured and creative methods

Choreograph performances for school assemblies, annual functions, and competitions

Train students for inter-school and cultural events

Develop students’ sense of rhythm, expression, posture, and coordination

Identify and nurture talented students in dance

Prepare lesson plans and maintain student progress records

Ensure discipline, safety,



and a positive learning environment

Collaborate with music teachers and other staff for events

Organize rehearsals and manage stage performances

Participate in school activities, workshops, and meetings

Eligibility Criteria:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree/Diploma in Dance (any recognized form)

Formal training in one or more dance styles (Classical, Folk, Western, etc.)

Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a school (preferably CBSE)
