Junior Interior Designer - Roles & Responsibilities

As a Junior Interior Designer, you will be involved in both creative design development and in office execution. Your role will bridge conceptual ideas with practical implementation, ensuring cohesive and high-quality interior spaces.

1. Design Concept & Development
- Assist in developing design concepts, themes, and spatial layouts
- Prepare mood boards, concept presentations, and material palettes
- Contribute creative ideas aligned with client requirements and project brief
- Support in translating concepts into practical design solutions

2. Working Drawings & Detailing
- Prepare detailed working drawings including furniture layouts, ceiling plans, electrical layouts, and joinery details
- Assist in developing interior detailing for furniture, partitions, and custom elements
- Ensure drawings are design-driven while being practical for execution

3. Material Selection & Specification
- Assist in selecting materials, finishes, laminates, fabrics, lighting, and hardware




- Develop material palettes that enhance the overall design concept
- Prepare material boards for client presentations
- Ensure materials align with aesthetics, durability, and budget
- Coordinate approvals with clients and senior designers

4. 3D Visualization & Presentation
- Create basic 3D models and views using SketchUp / Lumion / other tools
- Assist in preparing design presentations, renders, and visual communication
- Help clients visualize spaces through drawings and digital outputs

5. Site Execution & Design Implementation
- Visit sites to ensure design intent is maintained during execution
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for accurate implementation
- Resolve minor design or execution issues on site with guidance
- Ensure finishes and details are executed as per approved design

6. Vendor & Material Coordination
- Coordinate with vendors for sourcing materials and samples
- Ensure correct materials are delivered and used on si
