Store Keeper - Job Description

Job Summary

The Store Keeper is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials, machine parts, and tools required for the manufacturing of filling and packing machines. The role ensures proper inventory control, accurate record keeping, and timely availability of materials for production.

Key Responsibilities

1. Material Receiving
- Receive raw materials, machine components, and purchased parts from suppliers.
- Verify materials against purchase orders, delivery challans, and invoices.
- Inspect materials for quantity, quality, and damages.
- Update inward entries in the inventory system.

2. Inventory Management
- Maintain proper stock levels of mechanical components, fasteners, and electrical parts.
- Organize materials in the store with proper labeling and bin locations.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels.
- Conduct periodic stock verification and physical inventory checks.





3. Material Issuing
- Issue materials to production, assembly, and maintenance departments as per requisition.
- Maintain material issue records and update stock levels accordingly.
- Ensure timely availability of parts for machine manufacturing.

4. Documentation & Record Keeping
- Maintain records of GRN (Goods Receipt Note), stock registers, and issue slips.
- Track material movement and update inventory software such as
- Tally
- Microsoft Excel
- Maintain documentation for audits and management review.

5. Store Organization & Safety
- Maintain clean, organized, and secure storage areas.
- Ensure proper storage of machined parts, purchased components, and tools.
- Follow safety procedures while handling materials and equipment.

6. Coordination
- Coordinate with purchase department for material shortages.
- Work with production and design teams to ensure availability of machine parts.
