position of Cloud Cost Optimisation Consultant - Product Strategy Unit.
The Product Strategy Unit for Inclusive Public Technology is an initiative aimed at bringing together
industry and academic experts to drive the creation of inclusive, scalable, and sustainable digital public
infrastructure and goods. This role will directly support the optimization and cost-efficiency of digital
platforms and services hosted on the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a comprehensive audit of cloud infrastructure supporting Digital Public Infrastructure

(DPI) and Digital Public Goods (DPG).
- Analyze compute, storage, and network resource usage to identify underutilized or orphaned

resources.
- Optimize existing deployments by recommending Reserved Instances, Spot Instances, or

autoscaling configurations to reduce costs.
- Evaluate cloud billing and tagging practices; implement improvements for effective cost allocation

and tracking.
- Profile the performance of code and systems to identify inefficiencies contributing to unnecessary

infrastructure costs.
- Review backup,



disaster recovery, and IAM policies for security and cost efficiency.
- Engage with key stakeholders through structured interviews to understand workflows, pain points,

and opportunities.
- Prepare detailed reports and executive-level presentations summarizing findings, ROI

projections, and implementation roadmaps.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support implementation of cost-saving measures.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related technical field. Advanced certifications in

cloud (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, GCP Cloud Architect) are preferred.
- Minimum 5 yrs of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering roles with a

focus on cost optimization.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering cloud cost optimization projects for medium to

large-scale infrastructures.
