1. As a Solution Architect (Payments) you will:
- Lead the architecture and design of complex payment solutions across core banking environments.
- Design end-to-end payment execution workflows including orchestration, order management, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, exception handling and returns.
- Own solution design for ISO 20022 implementations across multiple payment schemes.
Define functional and logical architectures, system interactions, and integration patterns.
- Govern technical designs produced by engineering teams, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and long-term strategy.

2. What You Bring to the table:




- 10+ years of overall IT experience with at least 5+ years as a Solution Architect in banking and financial services.
- Strong hands-on expertise in core banking payments execution including orchestration, clearing, settlement, reconciliations and returns.
- In-depth knowledge of payment schemes such as Bacs, Faster Payments, CHAPS, SWIFT, SEPA and Cheques.
- Expert-level understanding of ISO 20022 including message structures, mandatory/optional elements, data mapping, validation and cross-scheme differences.
- Proven experience designing and governing end-to-end ISO 20022 solutions in large-scale payment transformation programs.
- Experience with architecture frameworks and modelling tools such as C4, TOGAF, ArchiMate and similar enterprise architecture approaches.
- Strong knowledge of integration and messaging patterns, including ESB, event-driven architectures and API-based integrations.- Familiarity with cloud and microservices platforms, includi
