Operate and monitor medical gas manifold systems (oxygen, nitrous oxide, medical air, CO₂, vacuum).
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of medical gases to OT, ICU, ER, wards, and other clinical areas.
- Perform regular checks of cylinder pressure, pipeline pressure, alarms, and reserve banks.
- Change gas cylinders safely and timely as per consumption and pressure indicators.
- Maintain logbooks for gas usage, cylinder changeover, pressure readings, and alarms.
- Respond immediately to manifold alarms, gas leakage, or supply failure incidents.
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery and replacement of medical gas cylinders.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, fire safety norms, and hospital policies.
- Assist biomedical/engineering teams during preventive maintenance and audits (NABH, fire safety, statutory).
- Ensure proper storage, segregation, and labeling of full and empty cylinders.
- Participate in emergency preparedness drills related to medical gas supply.
