Job Summary

The Garment Merchandiser (Exports) is responsible for end-to-end coordination between international buyers, internal production teams, and suppliers to ensure timely development, approvals, and delivery of export orders. This role requires strong communication, product knowledge, an eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple styles and timelines simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

1. Buyer Communication & Order Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for international buyers.
- Receive and review tech packs, BOMs, artworks, and buyer comments.
- Coordinate sampling, costing, and approvals.
- Ensure accurate understanding of buyer requirements and maintain style files.

2. Product Development & Sampling
- Coordinate with design, pattern-making, and sampling teams to develop proto, fit, SMS, PP, and TOP samples.
- Follow up on timely execution and quality of each sample stage.
- Track all comments and ensure corrections are implemented in subsequent rounds.

3. Costing & Negotiation
- Prepare detailed cost sheets for current styles.




- Ensure costing aligns with company profitability and buyer targets.
- Negotiate with suppliers for trims, fabric, and embellishments.

4. Production Coordination
- Create and manage T&A; (Time & Action) calendars for each order.
- Follow up with production teams to ensure timelines, quality, and quantities are maintained.
- Identify any bottlenecks early and escalate when required.

5. Fabric & Trim Sourcing
- Coordinate with mills and suppliers for fabric booking, lab dips, strike-offs, trims development, and approvals.
- Monitor lead times and ensure all materials are in-house before production start.

6. Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure all buyer quality requirements are communicated clearly to QA teams.
- Review and share inspection reports (inline and final).
- Ensure compliance with buyer standards, packaging guidelines, and testing requirements.

7. Documentation & Logistics
- Prepare order sheet
