Job Description:
Job Title – Site Reliability Engineer

Skills – Application support for large scale production environment running on Unix, Microservices & Java platform. Candidates need to be versatile with ITIL processes, cloud technologies and flexible to ready to work on different shifts and oncall rotations. Additional skills like automation / scripting will be highly recommended.

The Purpose of This Role

This is a Production Support & Site Reliability Engineering position for the Prod Services organization in the Retail space which maintains and manages all customer facing Fidelity applications. This position provides ample prospect for learning new technologies and working on them including Cloud platforms.

You should be providing 2nd level support for identification and communication of environment/ application problems
Assisting and gathering performance and availability metrics
You need to Identify potential process improvements, and opportunities to streamline procedures




Investigating potential new tools to reduce triage time and improve results
You should carry out Application deployments and new server build outs.
Overseeing small projects as both an individual contributor and as a team player
You need to assist in on-going environment validation tasks
You should participate in oncall rotations

The Skills that are Key to this role

Technical
Ability to demonstrate through 3-6 years of work experience like knowledge on troubleshooting enterprise web applications, including configuration issues, in a Unix/Linux environment with Apache, Nginx , Tomcat .
Working knowledge of AWS cloud platforms
Working knowledge of Docker Container, Kubernetes is must
A working knowledge of Jenkins is must
A working knowledge of DataDog & Splunk is must .
A working knowledge of python .
Good working knowledge on ITIL processes like Incident management, Change management etc.,
Demonstrated ability to ask the right questions to get to the bottom
