What we are looking for:-

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Property Accountant with strong knowledge of US GAAP and real estate/property accounting . The role will be responsible for managing and reviewing accounting activities for a portfolio of real estate properties, ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely month-end close, reconciliations, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.

The ideal candidate should have solid technical accounting knowledge, hands-on experience with Yardi Voyager 7S , and the ability to independently manage property-level financial activities while supporting and mentoring junior team members.

Job Responsibilities

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties.
Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and applicable accounting policies.
Perform depreciation calculations and prepare amortization schedules in accordance with US GAAP.




Support the development and implementation of capitalization policies in accordance with relevant US GAAP/ASC requirements.
Prepare and analyze property-level financial reports, budgets, and variance analyses.
Review escrow closing statements and property purchase agreements and prepare appropriate initial accounting entries.
Reconcile bank accounts, tenant ledgers, fixed assets, and balance sheet accounts.
Prepare quarterly distribution calculations and management fee calculations.
Coordinate with property management and other internal and external stakeholders regarding accounting and financial matters.
Support internal and external audits by preparing required schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best accounting practices.
Mentor and guide junior accounting team members as required.
