We are seeking an experienced Software Test Architect to lead the Quality Engineering and Testing strategy for a large-scale migration from Software AG (SAG) webMethods Integration Platform to a contemporary AWS Cloud-Native architecture.
The Test Architect will be responsible for defining the end-to-end testing strategy, automation framework, quality governance model, migration validation approach, and non-functional testing roadmap. The role requires deep expertise in middleware integration testing, API testing, cloud-native architectures, microservices, DevOps, and enterprise-scale migration programs.
The candidate will work closely with Enterprise Architects, Solution Architects, Product Owners, Developers, Cloud Engineers, Business Stakeholders, and Program Leadership to ensure a seamless migration with minimal business disruption.
Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Architecture
Define the enterprise-wide testing strategy for SAG webMethods migration to AWS Cloud-Native architecture.
Establish quality engineering practices across migration waves.
Design migration validation framework covering:
Functional equivalence testing
Integration testing
Data validation
API contract validation
Business process validation
End-to-End testing
Define risk-based testing approach for critical business services.
Create test architecture aligned with AWS Well-Architected Framework.
Migration Testing Leadership
Lead testing activities for:
webMethods Integration Server migration
Broker/UM migration
API migration
B2B integration migration
EDI process migration
Batch integration migration
Event-driven integrations
Define reconciliation and validation mechanisms between legacy and target platforms.
Develop parallel run and production cutover testing strategies.
Establish rollback validation procedures.
API & Microservices Testing
Define API testing architecture for REST, SOAP, GraphQL, and Event APIs.
Implement API contract testing strategy.
