Project Brief

CARDIO-India (Integrated, Co-developed Intervention for Detection and Management of Cardiometabolic Risk Factors in Older Indians)



is a five-year multidisciplinary research programme focused on improving the early detection, treatment, and management of cardiometabolic risk factors among older people in India. The project uses community engagement, qualitative and mixed-methods research, digital health technologies, telemedicine, and primary healthcare approaches to co-create and evaluate an innovative model of care. The programme will generate evidence on the experiences, perspectives, barriers, facilitators, and acceptability of the intervention, with the aim of developing a scalable model for improving cardiovascular health among older adults in India.
