Job Purpose: The Maintenance Engineer – Electrical is responsible for ensuring
the optimal functioning, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and
equipment within coal mining sites. This role involves planning and executing
preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and enhance equipment
reliability. The position requires the application of safety standards,
compliance with regulatory requirements, and the use of digital tools to




streamline maintenance processes. The engineer collaborates with
cross-functional teams to ensure productive operations and continuous improvement
in electrical systems performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintenance Engineer - Electrical - Coal Mining

Electrical System Maintenance and Repairs:

Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for
electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, and power distribution
panels.

Conduct regular inspections to assess the performance of electrical equipment
and prioritize maintenance activities based on system health.

Perform root cause analysis for equipment failures and develop action plans to
prevent recurrence.

Ensure adherence to safety regulations and electrical codes during all
maintenance activities to protect personnel and equipment integrity.

Project Management and Site Supervision:
