Senior Backend Developer (Node.Js / TypeScript)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have robust hands-on experience building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems using Node.Js, TypeScript, and NestJS. You will be responsible for designing and developing backend services, APIs, databases, asynchronous processing systems, integrations, and production-ready solutions. You will work closely with product, frontend, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.Js, TypeScript, and NestJS.
- Build and maintain robust RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Design efficient and scalable database schemas and queries using PostgreSQL.
- Implement caching and high-performance data access using Redis.
- Build asynchronous and event-driven systems using at least one messaging or queue technology such as Kafka,



BullMQ, or RabbitMQ.
- Design reliable background jobs, queues, retries, scheduled jobs, and failure-handling mechanisms.
- Participate in system architecture, technical design, and scalability discussions.
- Develop clean, reusable, maintainable, secure, and well-tested code.
- Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access control.
- Integrate with third-party APIs and external services.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and improve system reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high engineering standards.
- Collaborate with frontend, QA, product, and DevOps teams.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance when required.
- Take ownership of features from technical design through deployment and production support.
