Team Lead – Prudential Regulation & Basel Norms
Function: Finance / Regulatory Reporting
Location: Mumbai
Reporting To: Head – Regulatory Reporting
Role Purpose
To lead the interpretation, computation, and regulatory reporting of prudential requirements under RBI and Basel III frameworks, ensuring accurate capital, liquidity, and leverage compliance while providing expert support to senior management on regulatory and capital‑related matters.
Key Responsibilities
Prudential & Basel Compliance
Lead computation and review of Basel III capital adequacy, including CET1, AT1, Tier 2 and Total Capital.
Oversee Risk‑Weighted Assets (RWA) across Credit, Market, and Operational Risk.
Ensure accurate application of regulatory deductions, buffers, and adjustments.
Liquidity & Leverage
Supervise LCR, NSFR, and Leverage Ratio calculations and regulatory monitoring.
Partner with Treasury, ALM, and Risk teams on liquidity and balance sheet implications.
Regulatory Reporting & RBI Interface
Ensure timely and accurate submission of RBI prudential returns (Capital Adequacy,
Liquidity, LEF, Leverage, etc.).
Track RBI circulars, Master Directions, and Basel updates; assess regulatory impact and implement changes.
Act as key point of contact for RBI inspections, supervisory reviews, and regulatory queries.
Governance & Controls
Maintain solid control frameworks, documentation, and audit readiness.
Lead resolution of internal audit, concurrent audit, statutory audit, and RBI observations.
Stakeholder & Management Support
Serve as prudential regulation subject‑matter expert to Finance, Risk, Treasury, and senior leadership.
Support capital planning, stress analysis, and regulatory disclosures (Pillar 3).
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor the prudential reporting team, ensuring quality, consistency, and process efficiency.
Drive automation and continuous improvement in regulatory processes.
