Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Lead to guide the design, development, and delivery of backend systems within our Engineering organization. This role combines strong individual technical contribution with leadership of a small team - owning architecture decisions, driving engineering best practices, and mentoring engineers, while working closely with product, QA, and other engineering functions to ship reliable, scalable systems.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and architecture of backend services and APIs, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
Own technical delivery for your team - breaking down requirements, estimating effort, and driving execution to deadlines.




Write high-quality, well-tested code and set the technical bar through hands-on contribution and code reviews.
Mentor and grow a team of software engineers; support their technical development and career growth.
Collaborate with Product Management to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
Drive engineering best practices - coding standards, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and documentation.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, and lead root-cause analysis for critical incidents.
Evaluate and introduce new tools, frameworks, and technologies where they add explicit value.
Partner with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Data, Risk, Compliance) to deliver integrated solutions.

Required Qualifications & Skills

5 - 8 years of professional experience in backend software engineering, with demonstrated technical leadership.
Strong programming skills in at least one backend language
