About Us :
Gayathri and Namith Architects is a design-led architectural practice known for delivering
thoughtfully executed residential and commercial projects. We are looking for an experienced
Quantity Surveying (QS) Engineer to lead cost planning and contract administration across our
project portfolio.

Role Overview : The Senior QS Engineer will take ownership of cost estimation, budgeting,
tendering, and contract management for our projects, mentoring junior team members and working
closely with architects, site teams, and contractors to ensure projects stay on budget without
compromising design intent.
Key Responsibilities
Lead preparation of accurate cost estimates and BOQs from architectural drawings and
specifications
Oversee feasibility studies and cost planning across all project stages
Manage the full tendering process, including tender documentation and contractor bid
evaluation
Track project costs, prepare valuations, and process interim payments
Review and negotiate variations, claims, and final accounts
Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors,



and clients to ensure cost control throughout
the project lifecycle
Guide and review the work of junior QS team members
Maintain accurate records of material rates, labour costs, and market pricing trends
Ensure compliance with contractual terms and relevant building/construction regulations
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
8+ years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably within architecture or construction
firms
Robust knowledge of BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and contract administration
Proficiency in QS software and MS Excel
Familiarity with local building codes and construction practices
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Preferred:
Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drafting software for quantity take-offs
