Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with 5+ years of
experience in database administration, production database operations, performance management, security, backup, recovery, and disaster-recovery activities.

The DBA will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, integrity, and recoverability of enterprise databases . The role will work closely with the System Administrator, Application, Infrastructure, Security, and Development teams to maintain stable and resilient database environments.

A key responsibility will be collaborating with the System Administrator on backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and infrastructure-related database operations .

Key Responsibilities
1. Database Administration and Operations
- Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain database servers and database management systems.




- Perform day-to-day administration of production, staging, development, and test database environments.
- Monitor database availability, health, capacity, and performance.
- Manage database instances, databases, users, roles, permissions, and configurations.
- Ensure databases remain highly available and meet defined operational SLAs.
- Perform routine maintenance, housekeeping, and database health checks.
- Support database migrations, upgrades, and technology refresh initiatives.

2. Database Performance and Optimization
- Monitor and analyze database performance, resource utilization, and capacity.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Analyze execution plans and optimize SQL queries, indexes, stored procedures, and database configurations.
- Perform indexing and database maintenance activities.
- Monitor CPU, memory, storage, I/O, connections, and transaction performance.
