SQL DBA / Oracle DBA Administrator Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SQL DBA & Oracle DBA Administrator to manage, monitor, troubleshoot, secure, and optimize enterprise database environments. The role involves ensuring database availability, performance, recoverability, and compliance with operational standards while supporting business-critical systems and delivering reliable database services within SLA expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot complex database issues accurately and within agreed service levels.
Administer, maintain, monitor, back up, and recover enterprise database environments with a focus on SQL DBA operations and Oracle DBA support.
Support and maintain database disaster recovery processes to ensure business continuity and rapid recovery.
Deploy and manage database environments in accordance with organizational standards and business requirements.
Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance tuning recommendations.
Ensure database security standards and integrated security requirements are followed.
Monitor and report database storage utilization and capacity requirements.
Develop, review, and support existing T-SQL scripts, queries, and database code.
Monitor, tune, and manage scheduled jobs, backup processes, recovery activities, and database storage.
Perform root cause analysis and resolve database and application performance issues.
Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to resolve database-related challenges.
Prepare regular reports on database performance, stability, and future capacity needs.
Document, test, and implement database changes and enhancements.
Participate in operational support activities, including after-hours support when required.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and stay current with evolving database technologies.
