Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in database administration, development, and optimization. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) PostgreSQL, demonstrating deep understanding and hands-on experience with cloud-native database solutions. This role requires a strong background in traditional relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as SQL Server and MySQL, particularly in migration, integration, and operational support contexts.
As a Senior Database Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing our database infrastructure on GCP, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and scalability. You will lead complex database projects, provide technical guidance to junior engineers,



and collaborate closely with development, operations, and architecture teams to deliver robust and efficient data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
GCP PostgreSQL Expertise (Primary Focus):
Design, implement, and manage complex PostgreSQL databases and data warehousing solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), utilizing services like Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL and/or self-managed PostgreSQL on GCE.
Optimize PostgreSQL database performance, including query tuning, indexing strategies, partitioning, and resource allocation.
Implement and manage high availability, disaster recovery, and backup/restore strategies for PostgreSQL databases on GCP.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex database performance issues, connectivity problems, and data integrity concerns in GCP environments.
Utilize GCP-specific tools and services for database management, monitoring (e.g., Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Log
