RESPONSIBILITIES

Boiler & Steam-Water Chemistry Management
* Monitor and maintain boiler water, feed water, condensate, and steam
chemistry parameters within prescribed limits.
* Ensure compliance with plant chemistry guidelines and OEM recommendations.
* Perform routine chemical testing and analysis for pH, conductivity, silica,
hardness, phosphate, dissolved oxygen, iron, copper, and alkalinity.
* Support optimization of boiler chemical dosing systems and treatment
programs.
* Identify chemistry deviations and recommend corrective actions.

FGD Chemistry & Process Monitoring
* Monitor FGD process chemistry including limestone slurry quality, gypsum
quality, chloride levels, sulfite/sulfate balance, and pH control.
* Ensure optimum reagent consumption and process efficiency.
* Analyze FGD effluent quality and support wastewater treatment system
operations.
* Assist in troubleshooting scaling, corrosion, fouling, and process upsets
within FGD systems.

Laboratory Operations
* Conduct laboratory testing and chemical analysis using standard
methodologies.




* Ensure calibration and upkeep of laboratory instruments and analyzers.
* Maintain records of analytical results and prepare chemistry performance
reports.
* Ensure compliance with laboratory quality standards and procedures.

Water Treatment Plant Support
* Monitor DM Plant, RO Plant, Condensate Polishing Unit (CPU), and water
treatment systems.
* Support regeneration activities and performance monitoring of ion exchange
systems.
* Track chemical consumption and inventory management.

Operational Excellence
* Support root cause analysis of chemistry-related issues.
* Participate in plant shutdowns, startups, preservation activities, and
commissioning support.
* Drive initiatives for chemical optimization, efficiency improvement, and cost
reduction.
* Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, and Environment teams.

Safety & Compliance
* Ensure secure handling, storage, and usage of chemicals.
