Position: Database Administrator Experience: 5+ Years Role: Managed IT Services / Infrastructure Support Employment Type: Full time Location: Remote Position Overview We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with 5+ years ofexperience in database administration, production database operations, performance management, security, backup, recovery, and disaster-recovery activities. The DBA will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, integrity, and recoverability of enterprise databases. The role will work closely with the System Administrator, Application, Infrastructure, Security, and Development teams to maintain stable and resilient database environments. A key responsibility will be collaborating with the System Administrator on backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and infrastructure-related database operations. Key Responsibilities1. Database Administration and Operations Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain database servers and database management systems. Perform day-to-day administration of production,



staging, development, and test database environments. Monitor database availability, health, capacity, and performance. Manage database instances, databases, users, roles, permissions, and configurations. Ensure databases remain highly available and meet defined operational SLAs. Perform routine maintenance, housekeeping, and database health checks. Support database migrations, upgrades, and technology refresh initiatives.2. Database Performance and Optimization Monitor and analyze database performance, resource utilization, and capacity. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. Analyze execution plans and optimize SQL queries, indexes, stored procedures, and database configurations. Perform indexing and database maintenance activities. Monitor CPU, memory, storage, I/O, connections, and transaction performance. Establish performance baselines and proactively identify potential issues.
