Job Description – IT/OT Integration Engineer
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT/OT Integration Engineer to support integration between industrial automation systems (PLC/SCADA) and MES/enterprise systems. The role focuses on OPC UA integration, Node Set standardization, and ensuring reliable end-to-end data flow across multiple vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Integrate PLC, SCADA, and MES systems across multiple vendors Define and implement OPC UA architecture, including Node Set generation and validation Ensure alignment with data standards, naming conventions, and templates Coordinate with vendors for PLC tags, telemetry data, alarms, and events Support end-to-end data flow (PLC → SCADA → MES) Validate PLC tag lists, SCADA data models, telemetry, and alarms Troubleshoot integration and communication issues Support FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering,
Automation, Computer Science, or related field 5–10 years of experience in industrial automation and IT/OT integration Robust experience with OPC UA (Client/Server and data modeling) Experience with Node Set generation and management Technical Skills
PLC systems (Siemens / Mitsubishi / Beckhoff) SCADA systems (Ignition) MES integration concepts Industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, TCP/IP, Profinet) Data standardization (ISA-95 preferred) Preferred Experience
Experience in multi-vendor environments Exposure to battery manufacturing or process industry Knowledge of IEC 81346, ISA S5.1 standards Experience Level
Minimum: 5 years in automation/integration roles Preferred: 7–10 years in IT/OT or system integration projects
