About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, administer, and optimize PostgreSQL databases in cloud environments.
- Manage cloud database platforms including Azure Database for PostgreSQL, AWS RDS PostgreSQL, and Google Cloud SQL.
- Plan and execute database modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
- Design and implement scalable Databricks Lakehouse solutions using the Medallion Architecture.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks Workflows, and Apache Airflow.
- Support real-time data ingestion and event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
- Monitor database health, performance, availability, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Perform database tuning, query optimization, indexing, and performance troubleshooting.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for database deployments and automation.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC)



for provisioning and managing cloud database resources.
- Ensure database security, compliance, governance, and best practices across cloud platforms.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis for database-related incidents.

Required QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience
- 5-8+ years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA), Cloud DBA, or Database Engineer.
- Robust experience administering PostgreSQL databases in cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-scale database modernization and cloud migration projects.
- Experience supporting high-availability, mission-critical database environments.
